32 weeks...whoa, only 8 more weeks!!!

So I have been posting a new picture every month. I cannot believe it has already been a month!!! It feels like I have been pregnant forever, but at the same time it is going so fast. I am getting to the point where I am just ready. Ready to meet the little Piercy. Will he look like me or Joe? Will he be blonde with blue eyes like Joe or with brown hair and green eyes like me? I just can't wait to meet him. 8 weeks....I can do it!

How far along: 32 weeks
Total weight gain: gained 25 lbs total
Maternity clothes: oh yes and even the maternity clothes are getting small on me...yikes!
Stretch marks: None and hoping not to get any. Thank you for good genes!
Sleep: Sleeping great, praise the Lord!
Best moment of this week: Finally finishing the nursery. We love it and are ready to welcome the lil man into it!
Miss anything: Being able to see my feet when I look down... just kidding. Totally worth it!
Movement: This baby is a gymnast, doesn't stop kicking, especially right before bed. So fun to feel him hiccup now too.
Food cravings: tomato, avocado and cucumber salads. And the new chocolate chip shakes...oh so yummy!
Anything making you queasy or sick: nope- hooray!
Have you started to show yet: Getting bigger every day I feel like! 1 pound at least a week from here on out, crazy!
Gender: BOY!!
Labor signs: none, it will be crazy when I say yes to this.
Belly button in or out: In, but getting shallower (is that a word?), which is crazy because I am known for an oddly deep belly button.
Wedding rings on or off: On
Happy or moody most of the time: Super happy most of the time, but I have been getting tired lately from carrying around this extra weight and that makes me a little more crabby...sorry Joe, you are the one taking the brunt of it!
Looking forward to: My mom, sister and nephew coming in town for a baby shower that my AWESOME Chi-town friends are throwing for me. They are way too good to me. I will post the pix after the party as the are some of the most creative ladies you will ever meet. Can't wait to see it :)

Life without cable TV just got easier :)

So Joe and I have not had cable since we got married. However, we have a big TV. My sister says having a big TV and no cable is like going to McDonalds and getting a salad. I kinda agree, but we have our reasons to live without:

1. We are both home bodies and cold sit in front of it all day long and get nothing done.
2. We save about $100 a month by not having it.
3. The shows we like are on plug in cable, so we can still watch them.
4. The majority of TV is junk, so why support bad TV.
5. If we miss our shows, they are on the internet.

But, then that left us watching shows on our little computer screens, which was a pain, but we did it anyway. Worth it to us. The only time it was really annoying was when KU or U of I were playing and you had to watch ESPN on the puter, not exactly the full game experience.

So yesterday, Joe was looking around to see if we could stream our computer screens to the TV. Alas, yes you can, through Apple TV and AirParrot. Why we didn't know about this before is beyond me. So, as you can see we can now watch KU games on the TV through our computer streaming. So amazing, thank you Mac for being so awesome!

One man's junk, another woman's headboard?

I tried to come up with a catchy post title, but that just sounds funny. However it is so true. We found this awesome window pane in an alley. I am notorious for stopping the car for things I like on the street. Call that sketchy, a little weird, kinda gross, dirty, whatever you want, but it works for me...most of the time. And this one, well I think it was a hit.

Joe thought the color was a little weird, but for some reason I loved it. It is kinda a greenish with lots of paint worn off. It's perfect...the kind of paint job you can't re-create. That is why I love junk, it has wear and tear that only use and outdoors can do! So, instead of taking hours to make a headboard for our guest room, this is what we decided upon. What are your thoughts? (Sorry the pic is a little yellow)

I got the picture frames inside the window frame from Hobby Lobby for 99 cents each and then painted them and stained them. The prints are from this sweet store called Vintage Pine for $6 each. Such cool prints! Amazing store that I would buy all of my stuff at if I could afford it. I can' therefore I go through alleys and collect other peoples junk and make it pretty :)
