Joe and I have been tossing around ideas about what to put on the wall above his dresser in our room. Well, to be more accurate, I have been tossing around ideas and he has been listening, but hey, team effort, right? Here is what it looked like before:
Plain, right? BTW...that is my dad's dresser from growing up. Love family heirlooms :)
So then, I saw some fun ideas at some stores around town and decided to put them all together. This is what we have now (sorry for picture quality, not great):
Makes the wall a little more fun, right? That is across from our bed, so it is such a fun little piece of art to wake up to :)
That is baby Well's 20 week baby pic. He is sucking his thumb if you look close.
The first finds came from Francesca's clothing. Random I know. That is where I got the bird cage and the two pictures with the birds in them. I got all 3 of those pieces for $60 total, well actually $20 because I had a gift card from my wonderful mom! I LOVE the bird cage, it makes me smile.
The next piece was the map of Chicago with all of the 77 neighborhoods. The artist is actually a relative of Joe's friend, Nate. Her company is named Ork and she has cool maps of several cities now, check it out. It is hung with an old pant hanger. I am going to stain it a bit darker, but haven't found time to do it yet. It is hanging from a knob we picked up at Anthropologie in the sale section for $1.99.
On another note, got a super fun package in the mail from my bro, sis and mom this week. Feeling the love! Bro and sis both have something in common, they both involve basketball. A little hint into one of the loves of our family :)
Did you notice what the onesie says, "old enough to dribble, too young to dunk." So stinkin cute!
Then, my broski went to the Final Four in NOLA and got me this shirt! So proud of our Jayhawks for making it to the finals. Thanks bro for the shirts, love them!
My mama got me a gift card to Whole Foods, or should I say Whole Wallet! So one love is basketball, can you guess our other love...food, you got it!
Stay tuned, we start our project tonight!
